Position Summary:

COOPC is a custom orthotic and prosthetic provider and manufacturer known for high-quality, custom products with exceptional patient outcomes. We are a privately owned company who has served the central Ohio area for over 25 years. Our on-site fabrication lab is seeking a full-time orthotic technician to assist with the growing demand for our work.

Skills Summary:

  • Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices and assemble parts
  • Modify plaster molds and work with braces made of plastic, metal and leather
  • Order, receive and perform other inventory tasks as assigned
  • Use appropriate equipment and general hand tools
  • Understand properties of pertinent materials for fabrication process
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Experience in orthotics and prosthetics or fabrication is a plus

  • New technician graduates will be considered
  • Attention to detail is a requirement

  • Strong work ethic is a requirement
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time is a requirement
  • Flexible with tasks
  • Proficient in functional use of hand and power tools (carpentry or similar)

MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST
Central Ohio Orthotic & Prosthetic Center – Columbus, OH
Salary: $26,000. To $28,000. / year

Position Summary:

This is a full-time position for a Medical Office Receptionist with COOPC.

This position is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, obtaining and verifying all insurance information, having all appropriate forms completed and signed prior to visit with the medical provider, entering demographic and insurance information into the computer system, and accepting and processing payments for the office visit.

We seek an articulate, cheerful, patient focused individual who enjoys the challenge of a busy front office. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, have a clear, friendly telephone manner, be team oriented and be able to work with minimal supervision. A minimum of one year of physician practice front office experience is preferred.

Must have valid Ohio driver license, reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Salary: $26,000. To $28,000. / year. Company benefits will be discussed during interview.

Licensed Orthotist, Certified Fitter or ABC / BOC Orthotist

Licensed Orthotist, Certified Fitter or ABC / BOC Orthotist

We currently have two positions open for full-time employment at our Columbus and Dublin, Ohio Patient Care Facilities.

We are seeking:

  1. a Licensed Orthotist or Licensed Orthotist/Prosthetist
  2. a Certified Fitter or ABC/BOC Orthotist.

These individuals will be responsible for the evaluation, designing, fabrication and fitting of custom orthopedic bracing and supports, as well as, work with our established team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients in order to determine their appliance needs, as well as, identify factors that could affect the fit and/or function of the patient’s custom brace.
  • Measure and/or cast patients for their custom device.
  • Design orthopedic devices, based on physicians’ prescriptions, and examination and measurement of patients.
  • Fit, evaluate and test devices on patients, as well as, make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort.
  • Instruct patients and provide written instructions regarding the use and care of orthoses.
  • Maintain patients’ records in accordance with ABC and State Board standards.
  • Select materials and components to be used, based on device design.
  • Confer with physicians in order to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic devices.
  • Update skills and knowledge by attending conferences, seminars and educational workshops.
  • Show and explain orthopedic devices to healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently licensed in the State of Ohio and/or certified with ABC or BOC.
  • Must maintain CEU’s in accordance with licensure guidelines and/or ABC, BOC.
  • Must adhere to the guidelines in the employee handbook of Central Ohio Orthotic & Prosthetic Center, Inc. upon hire.
  • Must participate with management in annual performance reviews.
  • Must attend and participate in COOPC hosted trainings and meetings.
  • Must be hard working, possess strong clinical skills, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Must have the ability to manage varying and scheduled tasks.
