Position Summary:

COOPC is a custom orthotic and prosthetic provider and manufacturer known for high-quality, custom products with exceptional patient outcomes. We are a privately owned company who has served the central Ohio area for over 25 years. Our on-site fabrication lab is seeking a full-time orthotic technician to assist with the growing demand for our work.

Skills Summary:

  • Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices and assemble parts
  • Modify plaster molds and work with braces made of plastic, metal and leather
  • Order, receive and perform other inventory tasks as assigned
  • Use appropriate equipment and general hand tools
  • Understand properties of pertinent materials for fabrication process
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Experience in orthotics and prosthetics or fabrication is a plus

  • New technician graduates will be considered
  • Attention to detail is a requirement
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong work ethic is a requirement
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time is a requirement
  • Flexible with tasks
  • Proficient in functional use of hand and power tools (carpentry or similar)

MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST
Central Ohio Orthotic & Prosthetic Center – Columbus, OH
Salary: $26,000. To $28,000. / year

Position Summary:

This is a full-time position for a Medical Office Receptionist with COOPC.

This position is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, obtaining and verifying all insurance information, having all appropriate forms completed and signed prior to visit with the medical provider, entering demographic and insurance information into the computer system, and accepting and processing payments for the office visit.

We seek an articulate, cheerful, patient focused individual who enjoys the challenge of a busy front office. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, have a clear, friendly telephone manner, be team oriented and be able to work with minimal supervision. A minimum of one year of physician practice front office experience is preferred.

Must have valid Ohio driver license, reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Salary: $26,000. To $28,000. / year. Company benefits will be discussed during interview.

ORTHOTIC ASSISTANT
Central Ohio Orthotic & Prosthetic Center – Columbus, Ohio and Dublin, Ohio

Position Summary:

This is a full-time position for an orthotic assistant with COOPC.

THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT POSITION. This clinical position is for a full-time candidate with at least an associate degree or equivalent education in a related medical field; such as PTA, Nursing, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, etc.

Candidate should possess a working knowledge of medical terminology, have excellent writing skills, possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable with both children and adults. Candidate should have the education and experience to qualify for the ABC Assistance Exam.

Candidate should be motivated, personable, and willing to learn the position requirements. The assistant will use their medical background and experience to assist Licensed Orthotists on staff. An Orthotic Assistant is an extension of the orthotist and interacts with the patient at initial evaluations, follow-up appointments, adjustments and repairs.

COOPC would like to introduce Sean Kratzer to our team.

Sean comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the orthotic and prosthetic field, including over 15 of those years as a successful business owner.

Sean is a Licensed Orthotist, a graduate of Youngstown State University for Pre Med with minors in Sports Medicine, Chemistry and Psychology. Sean’s expertise includes both upper and lower limb orthoses.

Sean is available to see patients at either of our central Ohio locations.
